Ongoing gene therapy collaboration for ANT1 Cardiomyopathy

Internal ANT1 cardiomyopathy program for SLC25A4 deficiency

Adenine nucleotide translocase 1 (ANT1) deficiency leads to dysfunctional energy production in heart and muscle cells. Patients with this disease have severe exercise intolerance due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and skeletal myopathy. We are working on a gene replacement strategy to restore ANT1 levels and provide a disease-modifying therapeutic option for these patients.
